Dichiarazione di Benedetto Della Vedova, Presidente dei Riformatori Liberali e deputato di Forza Italia:
La “conferenza sull’Olocausto” voluta dal Presidente iraniano Mahmoud Ahmadinejad non è solo un patetico tentativo di “sdoganare” teorie razziste e complottiste che da sempre appartengono al bagaglio dell’antisemitismo politico e religioso. E’ innanzitutto il tentativo di trasformare il negazionismo “storiografico” dell’Olocausto in “negazionismo” politico di Israele. L’Iran continua ad armarsi e ad armare militarmente e politicamente ogni milizia fondamentalista per perseguire l’obiettivo, non implicito, but said, to wipe Israel off the map.
Today, the Israeli writer Amos Oz called for the staging of Tehran "is greeted with revulsion and disgust throughout the world." We agree with this wish and ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs to express themselves publicly, and in these terms, sull'ennesima offensive anti-Jewish Ahmadinejad. We understand the embarrassment of an executive who continues to credit the regime in Tehran as a reliable and credible partner for peace in the Middle East. But it would be much greater, I think, of all the embarrassment if the Italian government assistesse quietly to the farce of this pseudo-scientific conference.
